Planes Movie with Buds

Last Friday, after Ramsey and his buddies from Pre-K (who are all going to different public schools for Kindergarten) met up to celebrate the end to their first few days at BIG school. We saw the new movie Planes at 4:00 and the kids were so excited to see each other. There were 10 kids and 10 adults to see the movie and then we met up the other Dad's for a big dinner (table for 26) at Mexican. Yum! So thankful to get a chance to hang with our safety nest friends, man public school is an adjustment!!!

Kindergarten

Ramsey started Kindergarten this past Wednesday at Cloverleaf Elementary. I am not an overly emotional mommy but it was hard for me! He seems so much more grown up now. So independent. I realize that is what I want for him and so I have to stuff my emotions down and move forward. He loves school and had a great first week. He has already made several friends, eaten lunch in the cafeteria twice, and gone to art and computer class. I am one proud mom but man public school is a bit of an adjustment from our safety nest of preschool!

Medieval Times

This past Thursday my Friend Heather and I took our kiddos to Medieval Times at Discover Mills Mall. These two kids start Kindergarten in just 12 days so we wanted to do something special for them before the school year starts. They will both be going to Cloverleaf Elementary and will be in the same class. I am so thankful they will have each other in those scary first few days.

We had fun shopping for them some back to school clothes and taking them to the Lego and Disney store. The Medieval show started at dinner time and it was very cool. Ramsey loved the battles and was cheering for his team. Here are some pics from our fun day with these two cuties:

Ramsey at Cotillion 2013

Ramsey did his first time at cotillion this past week. They have a 5/6 old session, 7/8 year old, and 9/10 year old so he will do it every other summer if he chooses. He loved it and learned lots. It helped that his buddies did it too and that his Pre-K teacher, Miss Pamela was one of the teachers. Here are some pics from his program day to end the awesome week:

#1 stunner:
Ramsey with his buddy Kaden: (Kaden had done it two times now and was there to watch his sister Kendall who was in Ramsey's cotillion class) (these two did football camp together earlier this summer):

Summer Vacation 2013

The week of the 4th we went to St.Augustine, Florida with my Dad and family for great, relaxing week at the beach! So much fun! We had a house close to the beach, great food, and lots of great memories! My Step Brother and Sister and their familes are so much fun to be with and it was so good to see my sister, Paige since she has been a world traveler since the begining of 2013. Here are some pics from our awesome week:

Bentley Got Sick

So about 3 weeks ago Bentley started randomly throwing up (he has bad reflux and has also swallowed a sewing needle a few years back) so I really thought either it was just random or he had eaten another needle or something. He also started walking weird with his back hunched and at times acted like he was sore. I finally took him in to the vet and asked them to do an x-ray and they also suggested blood work. Well come to find out his pancreas was swollen and his levels were WAY off. Long story short they called and said he had Pancreatitis, oh man. He is a mommas boy and stresses at the vet so I asked to take him home and do the IV fluids at home. Well, that was nice thought but he was in so much pain he didn't sleep, and kept pulling his IV line out. So on the 3rd night he spent the night at the hospital and got all the necessary meds and fluids he needed. It took him about 2 weeks but he is on the mend and back in full mommas boy mode. I am so thankful he is doing better but man he is a money pit! One which I am happy to call mine :)

At home on IV Fluids. I slept on the couch next to his chair:
