What We've been up to...

Last Monday Ramsey had his Thanksgiving performance at preschool. He is the 3rd from the left in the pic. :
We celebrated Thanksgiving at Cope's parents last Tuesday and Ramsey even got to spend the night and hang out with 2 of his favorite "gwirls", cousins Mattie and Caroline:

On actual Thanksgiving Day we started the day off by decorating our house for Christmas. I always dread the chore of putting it up but LOVE the finished product. Here is Ramsey helping Cope with the tree lights. I think Cope spends at least 3-4 hours each year getting all the lights to work: We also started Elf on The Shelf. We've named him Fred and he had a great effect the first 2 days but is quickly loosing his grip on Ramsey's behavior:

Finished Decorating!!!

Then Yesterday we were invited to a Birthday party at Petit Creek Farms here in Cartersville. It was COLD but we had a great time! Ramsey rode a pony and he and I fed a cow, goats, sheep, zebras and even Camels. It was neat and the Camels came right up to the hayride and would eat out of our hands.

Other then that we are just BUSY this time of year. Cope is working and perfecting his x-box football skills. Ramsey is getting excited that he'll be 3 years old next weekend, and I am filling business order as fast as my little fingers can sew it, gearing up for Ramsey's 3rd Birthday, and beginning to think about Christmas list. I know we'll survive this intense time of year simply because even in the madness I can still feel the magic of the holiday season in the air!

Playtime with Nama

Ramsey goes to play with my Mom on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week. It is such a nice break for him and myself too. I sew like a mad woman on those days and he has a blast. He always ask "Is it a Nama day?" When he hears it is he gets so excited! Mom sent me these pics of his latest favorite activities at her house:

Lego Towers:Floor Puzzles. Mom said the happy grin is because he put the whole thing together himself:

Going To Work With Daddy

This past Sunday it was family "fun" day at Cope's National Guard weekend drill. It was an interesting day to say the least as there was nothing really planned so we all basically sat around until lunch in our husbands offices. Even though I was a little bored, Ramsey had a blast! He loved going to work with Daddy. He found another little boy and his sister to buddy around with, but most of all he loved getting to see the big army trucks. Also, all this week he has been putting on cope's work boots and saying "I'll see ya, I gotta go to the army".

He had fun running around in Cope's basketball shoes:

Silly Boy

Ramsey prefers to be completely naked but we try our best to at least keep underwear on him. He also loves to wear my hairbands on his arms and thinks it makes him look more like a "man". Not sure where he gets his ideas from?

I Love a Good Auction!

Thursday night my sister's work (The Etowah Scholarship Foundation) held there annual "It's All About the Bag" fundraiser. The first part of the event is a silent auction where over 50 handbags were up for bidding. I ended up winning this cute bag which retails for $129 for only $50. Whoo Hoo!
Next it was on the the live auction. I can honestly say I have never been that in to name brands especially when it comes to handbags. I mean why spend $200 dollars on the same thing you can get at Target for $20. I'm just saying? Anyway, the 1st item up for bid was a $500 gift certificate to our family photographer Brandy Shirley. I knew I would bid on this since we have pictures with Brandy next week. So the bidding was a little intense but I got the $500 photo package that came with this very posh Coach purse for a great steal of $375 for both items. I feel like a got a great deal on that one since we'll be spending the money on pics anyway. I suppose I'll enjoy the fancy Coach purse too. Hope no one gets the wrong opinion that I am into pricey things. I"m totally kidding, I don't care what they think. It was a fun night with great cocktails and good friends. I even got my picture on the front of our local newspaper the next morning. Autographed copies are available if needed. Hahhaha:)

Trip To Alabama

Sunday morning we got up bright and early and headed to Prattville, Alabama for Cousin Mattie birthday party. Cope's sister and her family are Air Force and this is the closest they have ever lived to us. So we did the 3.5 hour drive there and back but it was so worth it because Ramsey had a blast. I had a terrible sinus infection so I was not much fun but everyone else had a great time too.

It was a skating party so we had to let Ramsey have a go. it was funny. He of course needed help but insisted he do it by himself. He would have broken an arm for sure:

Thanks for inviting us Mattie. It was fun!
