Dinner with Friends

Last Saturday night Cope and I we're invited to join our friends the Smiths at their table for a dinner to raise money for the "Advocates for Children in Bartow County". It was a super fun and very nicely done event. It was a silent auction and live auction. When you checked in you got a "bidpal" which is much like a little cell phone but you placed your bids electronically through it. Super cool! There were tons of items in the silent auction (one of which was a donation from my business, that went for more then the value-Go Me!) After some fun of browsing those items it was on to dinner and the live auction. It was fun and intense watching people bid against each other. At the end of the night we ended up with a braves autographed baseball for Cope and a grab bag of goodies from Cartersville for me. It was such a fun night out with our friends and it is fun to get dressed up every now and then.

Ramsey Helping Me Feed The Dogs

Ramsey likes to help with chores most of the time so one of his new ones is helping feed the dogs. We keep our dog food in a large trash can in our garage and as the bag of food get lower it gets harder for Ramsey's little arms to reach.

St. Patty's Party at Preschool

Ramsey and his class had a little party in their classroom last friday to celebrate St. Patricks Day. I know I have said before but I am soooo thankful I get to be a work from home (make my own hours) / stay at home Mommy. I get to attend these little parties and I just love to watch Ramsey interact with his peers. They are so cute and he really has a great group of friends at school. Here they are saying the prayer before party snacks:

I am such a lucky mommy!:

Crazy Fun Weekend!!!

We had a super fun Saturday this past weekend. It started with soccer pictures at 10:30 followed by a game at 11:00. Ramsey did great! He is getting the hang of it more and more each week and isn't afraid to get scrappy with with bigger kids. I am really proud of him. After the game we went to lunch with Cope's parents who had come to watch Ramsey's game. We went to McDonalds per Ramsey's request because the currently have Transformer toys. Man, I hate those marketers geared at our children! They do good work!

After Lunch we headed to Gainesville to drop Ramsey off with my Dad and Donna. It was the first time Ramsey had spent the night with them but I knew he was in great hands and he was super excited to get to play with them. After that Cope and I ran by the commerce outlets and then it was on to Athens. Our friends from college, Katy and Toole were having a casino night and the theme was "people of wal-mart". Needless to say we broke out our finest attire:

The casino night was super fun! The next Morning Cope and I had a breakfast date and then we headed back to Gainesville to get our little Wild Man. Here are a few pics from his time with Pops and Donna:

First Spend The Night Adventure

Last Saturday night Ramsey had his first spend the night company. His buddy Ty"s mommy had a baby 5 weeks ago and we promised Ty once his little sister was born he could come spend the night one night. So Saturday night was the BIG night. Ramsey was super excited! Ty came over about 6:00 and they ate dinner and played. Around 8:00 we made homemade doughnuts and then it was off to bath and bed. Ty slept on a pallet next to Ramsey's bed and they actually did really well, minus a 4:00am chatting session. Both boys were great and we all had fun!

1st Soccer Game

Ramsey had his first real soccer game this past Saturday. It was soo cute! Ramsey did great and scored the first goal. I am not sure he totally knows what he is doing but he hangs right in there. He played almost the whole 45 minute game. He can run and doesn't ask for much time to rest so the coach just keeps him in. He wasn't afraid to mix it up with the bigger kids either. I think with some practice he might just be pretty good! Honestly it doesn't matter though as long as he is learning and having fun. We were so proud of him for not whining or complaining once. Those are the things that matter most to us at his age. Here are a few pics from the morning:

Soccer Practice

Ramsey has his first soccer practice this past Monday. He is playing in a new church league this year and has a little team with 10 players in in just 2 weeks they will start having real games on Saturdays with uniforms and all. I wasn't sure about doing soccer this year because he is playing T-ball too but he said he wanted to do both and you all know Ramsey calls the shots around here :) This league is 6 and under and he and his buddy Connor are definitely the smallest kiddos on the team. It doesn't matter though because they get challenged and it makes it that much more cute to watch.

Monday was so fun. Ramsey did great! They did drills, and by the end of practice were even scrimmaging some. I am so proud of our little guy. He listened well and really put forth his best efforts.

Ramsey loved sitting on his ball and wearing his hood that day. He said it made him look intimidating: Listening to the coach:
