Two weekend ago we attended Gold Rush in Dahlonega for the first time in 3 years. It was a last minute decision to spend the weekend at our old stomping ground but we are so glad we did! We went up on Friday afternoon and checking into our Bed N Breakfast and then took Ramsey to the Fudge Factory and to dinner. After dinner we listened to some live music and ended the night back at our hotel playing a game of Memory.
On Saturday we had a delicious breakfast at the Lilly Creek Lodge and then My Mom, Morgan, and my sister Paige joined us to check out the craft booths at Gold Rush. Gold Rush only gets bigger each year but somehow always makes me nostalgic. North Georgia has changed so much since we graduated in 2003 but is still one of my fondest memories since that is where I met Cope and learned more life lessons then I can count.
After a morning of booth looking we hit the bookstore for some NGCSU gear and then had lunch with my family. My Mom took Ramsey home with them and apple picking on the way home. Cope and I went to the Alumni get together where we saw lots of familiar faces. After that we walked over to a local brew pub for dinner and drinks and spent the rest of the night acting like we were college kids again. So fun to see our friends and talk about old memories for the evening. I am so thankful for North Georgia and the part it has played in my life. What a treat!
