New Pool for Ramsey

Ramsey quickly grew out of his original baby pool I had gotten him at the beginning of the summer. He was crawling out of that one every 2 seconds making pool time less enjoyable by the day for myself. It also had a hole in it from a certain dog attacking a cat on the porch. So I decided we needed to upgrade and I got Ramsey this slightly larger pool with higher sides to try to prevent the crawling out issue. He loves pool time and hopefully this one will grow with him at least until next summer but who knows with a very silly and active little boy???

Lunch Time with Friends

The other day my Friend Monica come over with her son Teo (just turned 1) for lunch time play date. Teo and Ramsey got along great. The crawled all over the place and Ramsey watched in amazement as Teo took a few steps towards walking by himself. I did find it funny though that now that we have children it is a little more difficult to have real conversations in the midst of chasing our little wild boys.

The next day we went over to my friend Katie's house to bring her lunch since she has a new baby girl, Kendall, that is just about 10 days old. Katie is doing great with her new addition and even with having had an unexpected C-section this time around she is handling having two kids like a super star. Her son Kaden is 3 and so adorable. When we got to Katie's, Kaden asked me right away if I would like to go see his new baby sister. He seems to adore her already. He also plays really well with Ramsey. Kaden is going to be an excellent BIG Brother!

(Baby Kendall-10 days old.)
Sometimes I just can hardly believe my friends and I are all grown up. Monica and Katie were two of the girl friends that I made lots of bad decisions with but at the same time had tons of fun. We each helped each other through those drama filled high school days. It is so wonderful that we all came out on the other side and have wonderful husbands and adorable babies to show for our life's journey thus far.

Friends and More Friends

Ramsey and I had the privilege of having two of my girl friends from Ft.Drum, NY come down for visits this past weekend. My Friend Ashley had 2 Weimeriners named Tyce and Chase who came along for the ride. Sage and Bentley were totally excited and after they left Sage was bit sad and still looking out the window for her friends hours later. Ashely and I had a great time catching up and working on our crafty projects. Also, my Friend Christine came to visit after Ashley left. Christine's husband Dave is deployed with Cope so it is nice to have someone to talk with who is in a similar boat as me. Both of them seemed to really like Ramsey and he always likes to meet new people. After they were gone back to their own lives I realized I am so blessed to have such nice and supportive friends. I know I can talk to them about ANYTHING and they are so understanding and two of my favorite people in the world.

Sitting in the doorway just chillin.

Sage not wanting her friends to leave so she sat on their beds in protest.

Ashley made Ramsey this adorable personalized Taggie and he did not like it a first but now he is chewing on it every chance he gets.
Christine brought Ramsey some new books which he loves but this bee book is definitely his favorite.

WILD CHILD in the Driveway

Last night we decided to take Ramsey out for a spin in his walker in the driveway. He is a little too WILD in it indoors now so outside seems to be a little better. Here is a little clip of how much he enjoys his mobility these days...

100th POST

This is my 100th post thus far. I am enjoying blogging so much. I am definitely glad I decided to do it. I had a friend ask me last night if I had recorded all of Ramsey's first words in his baby book and I almost freaked out but then thought I have it all in the blog for reference. I am planning to get a blurb book made soon so none of our precious memories will go unrecorded. Blogging has been a great outlet for me so far. It is a place I can just get stuff out of my head, Cope can see Ramsey's everyday adventure even if we don't get to talk, and I can gab all about Ramsey and his day to day life. So I'll continue to blog as long as it serves us well. So far so good I'd say.

8 Months

Mr. Ramsey turned 8 months old yesterday. Jeez, I can hardly believe it. He is no longer a little baby but a very active little boy. I found it funny that the night before he turned 8 months he woke up in the middle of the night screaming for the first time in four months. I suppose he wanted to remind me of how far we've come. I think he is teething yet AGAIN to add to his already 6 teeth. He is crawling very far and at times FAST these days. He is into everything he isn't supposed to be. If there are toys in the floor he passes by those to something much more exciting like pulling things off tables and such. He is babbling lots and even managed to actually say "Dada" last night. He also can say "Bye Bye" now too when you wave at him(I'll try to get a video on that soon). He is super cooperative most all the time except at solid food time. He still isn't a big fan of much of it. I've narrowed down that he does like a few fruits, green beans, and meats. He knows how to eat he just chooses not to very much. He is one determined little boy. This of course makes me irritated but when he does like something he'll eat it pretty good. So now that I know he knows how to eat, I am trying to relax about the how much part some. I think we might just have a very picky eater on our hands. Other than that he is more than I ever hoped for in having a son. It is hard and intense at times but man he is worth it. Ramsey is an amazing little boy and I just stand in awe that I was chosen to be his Mom. Were staying very busy lately and counting the days till his "Dada" is home for good.
(this is how he chooses to ride in his swing now)
He also likes to help my Mom (Nama) wrap gifts.
