5 years!

Cope and I were married 5 years ago today. We can hardly believe it has been that long but it also seems as though we've known each other forever. We went out last evening to see the new movie "Bride Wars" which Cope picked because he knew I'd love it. I did! It is a very cute and funny movie. Then it was off to my newest favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot for some fondue. Yummy! It was a perfect evening.

I think today we're just going to hang out with Ramsey and enjoy all that the past 5 years have brought our way. We are so blessed and I am so grateful for Cope being my husband. He is truly the BEST! I love being married but more importantly I love being married to Cope. He makes me want to be a better me. So after 5 years I am longing for 50 more. These past 5 years have definitely been the best 5 of my life thus far. I love that I am in this journey of life with a true partner and my very best friend.

Santa Revisited

My step Dad, Morgan brought us the official pictures we had made with Ramsey and Santa today. One word....HILARIOUS! Check out Ramsey's pitiful expression.

It is a picture of the picture so excuse the poor quality but I'm sure you get the idea.

Walk It Out

Ramsey is an official walker! He began taking his first steps a week or so before his first birthday and has since been just getting used to 2 legs mode of transportation. Up until a few days ago he was still doing 50% crawling and 50% walking but literally overnight he decided to take it up a notch and is mostly doing walking now. He also learned to go from sitting to standing yesterday without pulling up on anything. He cracks us up because he can go just about anywhere and he usually has a grin plastered across his adorable little face. I'm getting my running shoes dusted off in preparation for the faster paced days ahead. We are so proud of our little wonder boy!

Blackmail?

I definitely think I could use this photo as blackmail one day if needed:

13 Months

Ramsey is 13 months old today. WOW! He is so much fun. His personality is a good combination of Cope's laid backness and my stubborness. Ramsey definetly knows his own mind that is for sure. Here is some of what he has been up to lately:

-He is walking more and more each day. He still crawls some but realizes he can cover more ground quicker by walking. His walking looks like a drunk Frankenstein at times.

-He loves to dance! Even in the car I look back and see him moving his little arms to the music. Very Funny!

-Learned to blow kisses and give high 5.

-Talking more and more. I can make out about 10 words or so.

-He refuses to drink milk and only wants juice. We're forming our plan of attack on this one shortly. He is one determined little guy as previously mentioned.

-He eats a ton of yogurt and his best meal of the day is breakfast. He seriously eats more than I can.

-He goes to bed at 8:00PM sharp and usually wakes a little after 7:00AM. He only takes one nap a day an it is anywhere from 45 minutes- 2 hours. I much prefer the longer naps :)

-He still loves his books and now will pick out the one he wants and bring it to you to read it. At night if I choose a book he doesn't want he'll fuss until I get one he likes.

-His favorite snacks are Ritz crackers and cereal.

-Still loves electronics. He got TONS of new toys for Christmas but still prefers REAL remotes and cell phones.

-He has 9 teeth. We discoved his first molar while prying his mouth open for his medicine for his ear infection a few days ago.

-He loves to climb.

-Is enjoying having a full time daddy around and I'm enjoying it even more.

Fun Day

We had such a fun day today. Some of our college friends stopped by for the afternoon to visit. It is rare we get to meet up since the guys are all military and have been deployed and are hardly ever in Georgia at the same time. Cope and I know we have been so fortunate to have such nice and fun friends and we're hoping the friendships continue for many, many years to come.

Here is Ramsey playing with Bryan and Cristin's daughter Marlie (Ramsey 13 months and Marlie 16 months):

Ramsey got to meet Marlie at another friend of ours baby shower last March (Ramsey was 4 month old and Marlie was 7 months old):

You can tell getting the two to pose for a picture has gotten much more difficult as they have gotten older and mobile:
Our other friends who came over were Katy and Justin. They have a 6 month old daughter named Caroline who is seriously the happiest baby I've ever seen: Ramsey doing some climbing for his lady friends:
Later in the day a friend of my sister's friend stopped over so we could try on bridesmaids dresses and she brought her 14 month old daughter Sophie:
So you can tell Ramsey has had his hands full with all his ladies today. Also, our friend Jae, who was badly injured 2 years ago in Afghanistan came over and he is doing great and he and his wife are expecting there second child in February. Cope and Jae are off to another college friends bachelor party tonight so as you can tell we've had a full day but a really great one at that!

Picture Post

Not much going on today. We're just enjoying a lazy day at home. Here are a few pictures of Ramsey that I forgot to post over the past few days:
