Easter part 3

Sunday after church we headed of to visit with my Dad and Donna and Donna's side of the family. Her family lives in Cartersville so it is just a short drive to fun! Donna's family is always so nice and welcoming. The food is beyond good and we ate wayyyy too much. Oh well it was Easter right? Anyway, we visited, ate, and then it was time for the big egg hunt. They even had 2 special eggs for Ramsey to find that has $$$ in them. Ramsey totally got egg hunting this year and loves most anything that has competition envolved. Here he is with one of the special golden eggs:

Easter Morning

The Easter bunny was sure good to Ramsey this past Sunday. His basket was filled with candy, Wall-E movie, legos, and Monster Jam playset. You can tell how excited Ramsey is from the picture below:

Also, this Easter Sunday was particularly cool for us as a family as we have had the pleasure of helping our friends, Jody and Heather start their new church in Dallas. We have been working on this labor of love since the start of the new year. Sunday was the first official service and it was sooo cool to see every ones hard work unfold into something so wonderful. We can't wait to see what the future hold for Hometown church.

Easter Celebration #1

Our Easter celebrations started on Saturday afternoon at my Mom and Morgans lake house here in Cartersville:

Ramsey and Sophia were the first to arrive so they had some time to play in the fountain together:All of Morgan's kids Came, my sister Paige was there for a little bit, and Cope's family was invited too. Once Everyone arrived we got right into dying Easter eggs:After the egg hunt Derick gave fishing a shot. The catfish were biting for sure:

There was also a surprise for the kids. My mom got this huge ball you can get inside and roll around from Costco last week. It was a huge hit:Cope being silly:

We also ate tons, caught up with family, and overall had a great time!

I'm a Soccer Mom!

This past Friday Ramsey started 3-4 year old soccer. It is at our local city recreational department. Ramsey has been excited for soccer to start even though he was a bit confused as to what soccer exactly was. Here is is excited to go:

As soon as he was given his own ball he was pumped. There were about 40 little kids and it was crazy. They were split into groups but there was a good bit of insanity occurring:

Go Ramsey Go!:

Juice break:

We took him for pizza afterwards:

Then for ice cream.: We asked him how he liked it and he said "Good, but he was wanting to play a real game". He feels like enough of the fundamentals lets get to the real competition part.

Easter Party at Preschool

Yesterday was Ramsey's Easter Party at school. We were planning to have it at a local place called Roselawn with large grounds for hiding eggs but due to weather we ended up having it at the school. No big deal the kids loved it! Here is Ramsey in his Easter gear:We hid the eggs in the empty room across the hall and then let the kids loose. It took them about 2 minutes to completely clean the room:

Then it was back to the classroom for a lunch catered by chik-fil-a. My mom (AKA Nama) joined us for the exciting morning:

Side note: Not sure why there is a black dot in all of my pictures lately but think it is an issue with a dirty linse. Working on the issue :)

Katie Anne's Party

This past Sunday we were excited to attend Katie Anne's birthday party. It was a costume theme so Ramsey went with a pirate get up. Katie Anne got this awesome new play set in her backyard and Ramsey spent most of the party there with Dad.

There was a mini horse that showed up:

There were also games (pictured here is Duck, Duck Goose) snacks, and cake and ice cream!

Fun Party! Happy 4th Birthday Katie Anne!

Best Weekend Ever!

I seriously think this might have been one of my favorite weekends ever. Cope's buddies from where we all used to be stations at Ft.Drum, NY we all in Atlanta for a unit (triple deuce) reunion. So many of them come into town by Friday. Alex and his girlfriend Brittney came home from work with Cope on Friday to see Ramsey and visit for a bit. Ramsey was supposed to have soccer but due to bad weather we ended up going to Bounce N Beans and then to dinner:

Saturday everyone came to our house for a BBQ lunch provided by me. After lunch we took Ramsey and the dogs to my Mom's and then we all headed for ATL and a dinner reception that night:

After the dinner and a few drinks we were all in the mood for a fun activity. So where else do you go when your with a super fun crowd? Karaoke of course! We found this hole in the wall place called "Happy Karaoke". It look sketchy but we pressed on. It ended up being amazing! Seriously I had no idea places like this existed. We got a private room for $25 an hour, had the best service, free snacks, millions of songs to choose from and stayed for over 3 hours. We sang our heats out and laughed so much the whole night.

Dinner at the Duvalls

This past Tuesday we went to visit our college buddies Vince and Erin Duvall and their sweet kiddos Ava (2.5 years) and Tripp (3 months). They just moved to Acworth which is just about 30 minutes for us and we are so thrilled to have familiar faces so close to us now. We just hung out, caught up, and let the kiddos play. Erin made a yummy dinner even though she wrangles 2 little ones all day. Ramsey and Ava quickly made friends with each other just played and played. Here is a picture of he 3 kids:

Warm Weather = Popsicles!

The other night after dinner Ramsey I enjoyed a chocolate Popsicle. Ramsey is the slowest eater (besides Justin Toole) that I know. It takes him like 30 minutes to eat a small thing of ice cream. he hasn't quite got the concept of it melting and eating it faster to avoid messiness yet.

Fun Saturday!

Saturday was super fun and super busy for us here at the Rowell house. Cope was in a clay shooting tournament so that meant Ramsey and I had a weekend morning to fill. We went grocery shopping and then met up with our buddies Heather and Addison at the movies to see HOP. It was such a cute movie and Ramsey really enjoyed it. Later, after naps we did some odds n ends around the house and then headed to our first Rome Braves baseball game. I've been wanting to take Ramsey for awhile now and finally decided to try to go before the weather gets to hot. It was sooo much fun! So kid friendly and again we met up with Heather, Addison, and Mr.Stephen. It is really inexpensive, they had jumpys, and lots of music for dancing. Oh, and there was an awesome fireworks show after the game. Here are some pics from the evening: Ready to go!:

Umm, Cotton Candy!

We went to a neighbors carnival themed party last weekend and we had a blast in the jumpy house and eating carnival foods. The best of all was the cotton candy:
